Turn Your Lights Green for Veterans!
For the third year, Clatsop County is joining the National Association of Counties, the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers, and other counties across the United States in Operation Green Light for Veterans.
From Monday, November 4 to Monday, November 11, all County buildings, the Veteran Services Office at Clatsop Community College, and Clatsop Community Actions’ main office will be lit up green in support of our veterans.
Residents, businesses, and other organizations are encouraged to join us by simply changing one or more light bulbs inside or outside their home or business to a green bulb.
By shining a green light, we seek to let our veterans know that they are seen, appreciated, and supported and to spark conversations among neighbors and passersby about the needs and services that support our local veteran community and their families.
2024 Operation Green Light Flier (save-the-date)
For a free green light bulb, stop by the Veteran Services Office at Clatsop Community College (1717 Lexington Ave, Astoria, OR 97103), Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm. A limited quantity is available.
