We Can’t Do It Without You!
Because of you, we have fed a lot of people over the past year. We know we don’t do this work alone, and we continue to need your help to make a difference in the lives of food insecure people. Although food insecurity is still a problem, we are better able to help the most vulnerable people in our community because of your generous care and continued support. Today, we again ask you to help end food insecurity, one meal at a time, with a monetary donation.
We distribute more than one million pounds of food throughout Clatsop County each year, we provide tens of thousands of food boxes to families through our direct service Produce Pantry program or Partner Agency Emergency Food Box sites.
We fill thousands of backpacks with extra food for the weekend and send them home with school-age children.
We provide thousands of balanced meals to be served to seniors and homeless individuals at meal sites and shelters each year.
Imagine if you will, all these people standing in a food line, month after month, trying to get enough food to make it until payday. The same people having to choose between paying the light bill, purchasing medication, or feeding their children. It’s hard, and it’s frightening.
At CCA Regional Food Bank we stand ready to help people suffering from food insecurity every single day; and we know you’ve got our back! Food insecurity is a community crisis that we face and fight together.
Please remember, many Clatsop County residents are “working poor”. This means the adults are working (often more than one job), but still are unable to meet their basic needs. For some families this means living with illness rather than going to the doctor or going without heat in the winter. For most families, this means skipping meals, going to bed hungry, and living on foods that are low in nutrition. With your generous support, we can continue the fight and assist Clatsop County’s most vulnerable.
